Dear fans of The LYNNeS

We hope you and your families are managing through these times we find ourselves in.  The Pause has also given us time to reflect, and after three fantastic years we’ve decided to shift our focus back on our individual songwriting careers.  It’s been a HELL of a ride.  We never could have imagined when we dreamed up this little side project that it would grow into what it did.  We HAD hoped to go out with a bang, but Covid has made that pretty much impossible, so instead we are expressing our incredible gratitude for the support you have shown The LYNNeS.

It all started with our Kickstarter crowdfunders.  Your generosity enabled us to record the album we wanted to record.  And we also want to acknowledge the support of the City of Ottawa and Ontario Arts Council.  We are extremely fortunate to have funding organizations in this country.  We also want to thank every venue, festival, and promoter that invited us to perform on their stage.  It takes an incredible amount of hard work and dedication to present live music, and we wouldn’t have had a chance to share our songs without your belief in us.  And we also want to thank CBC Radio and every college and community radio station that shared “Heartbreak Song For The Radio” with your audiences.    And to every musician who lent their talents to our project, in the studio and on stage, we are grateful for every note that made our songs sound that much bigger.    And to every single audience member who purchased our music and came to listen to us play.  We have so much gratitude for each and every one of you.

For now, you can still purchase The LYNNeS vinyl and CDs off our website.  This will be available until we run out.   And feel free to follow both Lynn(e)s on their individual websites, social media accounts, and to sign up for their mailing lists.

Take care of yourselves, and see you when gathering together in person is a thing again.

Live reviews from Europe and Canadian tours dates

Despite cold weather, white out conditions and cancelled flights all due to the Beast From The East bringing very Canadian-like weather to our European album release tour, the reception could not have been warmer, and The LYNNeS had a fantastic time touring the new album in England, Holland and Germany.   Here's a few excepts from what reviewers were saying about the shows:

“A bunch of powerful songs, two exceptional and complementary voices, some interesting twists on the arrangements (including a bit of electric twang and some haunting ebow effects) and a great rapport with the audience between songs. Stack all of that up and you have a pretty memorable night.” - Allan McKay, MusicRiot (UK) full review

“Across the pair of sets, which ran the show time close to a couple of hours, there was an unbroken string of outstanding songs filling the venue with an air of mutual affirmation. In protracting the wares of The LYNNeS with such a large degree of panache, Lynne Hanson and Lynn Miles have created a mini entity that brims with high quality. Beauty can advance from different angles and tonight it emerged starkly to seal an unblemished parade of live music.” - Three Chords and the Truth (UK) full review

“Songwriter duo “The Lynnes” thrill fans at the Industrial Museum ... From the beginning, the two congenial musicians, who acted partly solo, partly as a duo, succeeded in spellbinding the audience.” - translated from Elmshorner Nachrichten article (in German)

We've got a whack of shows over the next 7 weeks or so across Ontario and the East Coast ... check out the shows page for times and advance ticketing information.  Hope to see you out there :-)
